A major event allowing worldwide HPC stakeholders and experts to gather and take stock on HPC evolutions and new directions, TERATEC Forum 2011 edition will focus on main public policies, industrial R&D and new uses of CPU. On 28 June, the plenary sessions will be devoted to public policies, featuring US, Japanese and European government representatives, as well as industrial applications with key industry players such as SNECMA GROUPE SAFRAN or PSA PEUGEOT CITROËN. On 29 June, workshops, technical cases and real cases will bring together a whole range of professionals. This year’s topics include systems design and simulation, featuring major transformations taking place in simulation methodologies enabled by the advances in systems capacity and performance. ESI will take part in workshop n°3, “HPC towards new applications”, during which Dr Argiris Kamoulakos, Scientific Director at ESI will present "Challenges in simulating sea wave induced Fluid-Structure Interactions" and workshop n°6 “Scientific Software HPC Evolutions”, where ESI will deliver a presentation on efficiency gains using GPUs.

During these two days, over 60 companies will take part in the exhibition, which welcomes innovative start-ups as well as world leading companies like ESI. The full list of exhibitors is available on TERATEC Forum’s exhibition page.

“ESI is proud to be part of the TERATEC association, which represents an invaluable opportunity to disseminate high performance simulation knowledge, open high level international collaboration opportunities and thus accelerate the development of new simulation methods”, comments Vincent Chaillou, Chief Operating Officer at ESI Group.
