Industrial users, experts and decision-makers from around the world will share best practices and trends in the field of Virtual Product Engineering

ESI Group, pioneer and world-leading solution provider in virtual prototyping for manufacturing industries, announces ESI Global Forum 2012 - an event dedicated to Virtual Product Engineering, featuring case studies and presentations delivered by some of ESI’s global clients and partners. The event will be held at the Sheraton Hotel & Marina in San Diego, California, on October 18 & 19.

ESI will have the honor to welcome as keynote speaker John Engler, president of the Business Roundtable (BRT), former Governor of Michigan and former CEO of the National Association of Manufacturers. As BRT president, Engler will bring CEO expertise and insights to bear on major challenges facing the United States, including global competitiveness and innovation.

The first ESI Global Forum 2010 took place in Munich, Germany; gathering over 300 visitors and featuring over 80 presentations. This year, ESI Global Forum will take place in North America and will address specific industry challenges, targeting the aerospace & defense sector, electronics & energy, and ground transportation. Case studies that will be presented during these two days will enable attendees to learn from the experience of global industry leaders. At the first ESI Global Forum, representatives included experts from Volkswagen, Audi, Nissan, Opel, PSA, EADS, Qualis Corporation, Bombardier, Eurocopter, Corus, Intel and Hewlett-Packard. All delivered technical presentations that illustrated how Virtual Product Engineering is contributing to meeting technical and business challenges. ESI is gathering an equally global and high quality group of speakers for ESI Global Forum 2012, assuring a successful and high value event.

The forum will also allow experts and end-users to learn the latest information on specific ESI product lines. Dedicated sessions will address Virtual Manufacturing (including casting, composites, sheet metal forming and welding), Virtual Performance (including crash, safety, NVH, comfort and durability, Virtual Environment (including vibro-acoustics, multiphysics and fluid dynamics) and Virtual Reality (3D immersive solutions).

An exhibition will run in parallel throughout the whole event, providing an opportunity for software and hardware partners to showcase how their latest solutions provide gains in productivity and performance.

A complimentary gala dinner will be held on October 18, bringing together all attendees in an informal setting for private discussion and networking.
