Achieve operational excellence – The bar is high for OEMs as they endeavor to meet ever growing market pressure amid shifting industrial paradigms. Because design sets the stage for manufacturing, it is critical for engineering teams to recognize the interactions of people with their proposed products and processes to assure ease of assembly, operation, and sustained production.

Eric Kam

Eric Kam is the Marketing and Alliances Director for ESI Group Manufacturing Business Channel; supporting their Immersive Experience (Virtual Reality) solution IC.IDO. He is an outspoken advocate for ongoing digital transformation in Computer Aided Design, Finite Element Analysis, and Computer Aided Engineering. He has spent the bulk of his 25+ year Mechanical Engineering career promoting the democratization of previously “analyst driven” simulation technologies to bring the benefit of Virtual Engineering tools to engineering and manufacturing practitioners themselves. When not evangelizing for Virtual Prototyping Solutions, he is a FIRST Robotics Competition enthusiast and mentor.
