Demo: Cabin Comfort in Mobile Machinery with MBSE

Virtual Performance, Virtual Seat
Ground Transportation, Heavy Industry & Machinery

Wheel loaders, as substantial machines, expose operators to prolonged hours in the field, leading to heightened stress, fatigue, and discomfort. To address these challenges, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) are actively integrating digital solutions. These solutions are not only aimed at enhanced comfort but also elevated safety, durability, and sustainability aspects for these machines.

Our demonstration video illustrates an advanced approach to significantly improving the cabin comfort of wheel loaders early in the design phase, utilizing a Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodology. The model is meticulously crafted through SimulationX, a comprehensive multi-domain system simulation software, while the mining track environment is seamlessly imported from a .obj file. Our modeling ensures that the wheel loader is optimally designed, avoiding both over and under-engineering. This well-balanced model serves as an effective platform for conducting tests, yielding results that directly influence key comfort-related targets for OEMs and mobile machinery manufacturers.
