How to perform a virtual Pass-By-Noise test?

Inhalt Content: The workshop will introduce the new VA One Pass-By-Noise module. Combining possibilities to use data coming from measurements and simulation, the VA One PBN module is a new tool to predict and evaluate the levels during a PBN test, mitigate the influence of the different sources and check the acceptance against the ISO norm. The attendees will be guided through the different steps to perform this task.

Zielgruppe Level: Beginner, Automotive
Wann Time: Part I: 9:00 - 10:30 am / Part II: 10:45 am - 12:15 pm (180 minutes)
Workshop-Leiter Workshop presenter: Arnaud Caillet

How to perform a virtual high acoustic level spacecraft qualification tests using DFAT?

Inhalt Content: The workshop will introduce the new VA One DFAT module which is designed to perform virtual acoustic high level spacecraft qualification. It is possible to qualify experimentally the spacecraft using large reverberant rooms. Unfortunately those large rooms are both expensive and subject to restricted availability along with necessitating the movement of sensitive hardware. The DFAT System offers an alternative means to qualify the spacecraft in a more easily available local facility.
The workshop will demonstrate:

  • How to define a virtual DFAT test within VA One
  • How to check that the pressure field generated by the DFAT sound system is diffuse
  • Apply DFAT on a simplified spacecraft
Zielgruppe Level: Advanced, Aerospace
Wann Time: 1:15 - 2:45 pm (90 minutes)
Workshop-Leiter Workshop presenter: Oliver Goy

Boundary Element Method in VPS

Inhalt Content: The workshop gives an insight into problems of sound radiation and diffraction using the Boundary Element Method (BEM) in VPS. The pre-processor Visual-NVH is used for the model set-up. The main focus is on the weakly coupled BEM solution (radation to the exterior surrounding), but also a fully coupled simulation is presented.

Topics

  • Theoretical aspects of BEM and acoustic preliminaries
  • Usage of the Guided BEM Workflow in Visual-NVH to set up a BEM model
  • Post-Processing with Visual-Viewer
Zielgruppe Level: Advanced
Dauer Time: 3:00 - 4:30 pm (90 minutes)
Workshop-Leiter Workshop presenter: Michael Sommer, Dragomir Deltchev, Oliver Goy
