Large lightweight space structures such as antennas deployed in space programs need detailed qualification to ensure they survive the aggressive forces experienced during launch.

A VA One model of a space antenna will be used to demonstrate how a combination of vibro-acoustic simulation techniques, including FEM/BEM, FEM/SEA and SEA coupled with High Performance Computing (HPC) techniques, can be used within the VA One environment and for qualification of the structure during the launch phase across the operational frequency range.

During this webinar, three different vibro-acoustic models will be deployed to demonstrate how different modeling solutions in VA One can be used to predict responses for frequencies ranging from low to high frequency.

The results of this analysis will then be used to determine interlayer stresses of the composite structure arising from diffuse acoustics loading experienced at launch.
