Experimental Investigation of Thermomechanical Effects during Direct Chill and Electromagnetic Casting of Aluminium Alloys

The deformation and the temperature field within direct chill (DC) and electromagnetic (EM) cast aluminum ingots have been measured in situ using a simple experimental setup.
