Autonomous Vehicle Technology World Expo, will showcase, discuss and debate everything you need to develop your intelligent vehicle, from the obvious autonomous vehicle driving software, sensors and communication systems, to tyres and wheels for autonomous vehicles, or complete vehicle concepts. The conferences include the Autonomous Vehicle Interior Design & Technology Symposium, the Autonomous Vehicle Test & Development Symposium, and the Autonomous Vehicle Software Symposium.
ESI will present together with our customer QRTech in the Autonomous Technology Test and Development track (Tuesday - May 21 at 9:25, Room B 'Simulation - Validation in the Virtual Domain') on "Leverage hybrid scenario generation for AV certification".
Autonomous Vehicles should handle complex, unusual and hazardous scenarios without human intervention. Their certification will require a balance between real & virtual testing. To support both, dedicated SW tools should be interoperable, easy to use and to integrate into innovative test & validation processes. ESI is providing a standalone scenario generation solution using a high-level description language based on OpenSCENARIO, together with an environment to simulate the output from multiple physical sensor systems for outdoor scenarios that combine vehicles, obstacles, pedestrians, weather, and road conditions. This presentation will highlight results from pilot projects involving hybrid testing and AV certification.
ESI will also present in the joint Automotive Interior Conference (Tuesday - May 21 at 14:30): "Improve comfort and safety and reduce the cost of vehicle interiors"
With the advent of autonomous vehicles, the interior layout will be completely rethought, and interior components will have to evolve . Indeed, seats will translate and swivel. Such new configurations make standard static climate and thermal systems, as safety equipments obsolete. Moreover, new materials and thermal devices will be added in seats. Checking static seating and thermal performances in different layouts with real prototypes could be very long and expensive.
ESI is proposing a solution based on virtual prototypes to overcome all interior challenges of autonomous vehicles. Improve Comfort, Productivity and reduce costs and development cycles.
