Flashback: Past OpenFOAM User Conferences
OpenFOAM trademark is owned by ESI-OpenCFD
Four years ago in April 2013, ESI premiered the OpenFOAM User Conference in Frankfurt, Germany with more than 200 participants from all parts of the world. With a mix of about 35 industrial speakers from Automotive, Chemical, Aerospace, Biotechnologies, Marine, Coastal Engineering etc., the event brought OpenFOAM creators and OpenFOAM users together to exchange and share their ideas and knowledge about OpenFOAM. Attendee numbers increased even more at our third OpenFOAM User Conference 2015 in Stuttgart and also the fourth event, held in October 2016 in Cologne, was again extremely well received by the worldwide OpenFOAM community.
What do the attendees from former OpenFOAM User Conferences have to say?
The 2nd OpenFOAM User Conference was a great chance to know and exchange experiences and knowledge with the rest of OpenFOAM community. We need it every year regularly. The community is growing up!
It was a very diverse collection of unique problem solving techniques from different standpoints (industries, universities), all contributing to the open-source community.
I really appreciate the wide variety of industrial applications covered during each session
Very interesting presentations and good opportunity of meeting people from other industries / academics and seeing what they do with OpenFOAM
I got a lot of insight and collaborations opportunities form the community
The event was very good. It keeps you well informed about what is going on in the world of OpenFOAM and what is to come next
It was the perfect occasion to meet the OpenFOAM community leaders along with other users to exchange great ideas for the future of CFD.
A great opportunity to meet colleagues and interact with the ESI-OpenCFD team.
Thank you for the well organized conference.
At early stages of using OpenFOAM, but we will understand better our requirements with regard to OpenFOAM as we use it within our projects.
