Metal Forming
Springback Seminar
Reference: STA-SBK-A

Level: Advanced
Duration: 3 days
Audience: CAE engineers, model designers or experienced tooling engineers involved in the stamping process.
Objectives: Gain from experts the best practice in springback compensation and learn to predict and master the springback phenomenon in sheetmetal stamping.
Prerequisites: University Degree in Engineering, or good experience in the science of metal forming.

Description: Effectively controlling springback represents a real challenge in the metal forming industry today; it allows forming engineers to enhance the quality of the die and body parts, speed up the design process and thus reduce die engineering lead times. This three-day course, held in English, is taught by a team of industrial and academic experts. Courses and exercises are also presented by experts from the industry. The Springback Seminar spans a wide range of topics from understanding springback, die compensation, geometry update, material modeling, to solver implementation. Thanks to the Springback Seminar, participants gain a deep understanding of the factors influencing springback, and learn to accurately predict, control, and correct it in sheet metal stamping. The number of participants is limited to 35, which allows for extensive interaction between participants and lecturers.
