Audience: This course is designed to answer specific needs of advanced PAM-CRASH/SAFE users.
Objectives: Understand airbag meshing techniques and how to apply them for reliable deployment simulation
Prerequisites: Course: Getting started with PAM-CRASH 2G (CRS-C-B) and Occupant safety simulation with PAM-SAFE (CRS-S-I) or equivalent advanced experience.
Description:

The mesh quality of a folded airbag is a key factor for obtaining good results in airbag deployment simulation. Airbag geometry is increasingly complex and consequently airbag meshing is a difficult and time consuming task.
Course content:

This course covers the different techniques for preparing the mesh of a folded bag (2D and 3D bags):

  • Folding based on the mesh
  • Folding based on the geometry
  • Simulation of the folding process

Course content is variable and adjusted to customers’ needs.
