PAM-CEM Solutions: The virtual
Reference: CEM-AN-A
test antenna
| |||
| Level: | Advanced | ||
|---|---|---|---|
| Duration: | 3 days | ||
| Audience: | EMC engineers from all industrial sectors - Automotive, Railways Electronics, Telecommunications, etc. - involved in numerical processes | ||
| Objectives: | Perform realistic PAM-CEM/FD modeling of slant wired antennas (log-periodic and biconical antennas). | ||
| Prerequisites: | Basic knowledge of standard FDTD numerical techniques (Finite-Difference Time-Domain) with related features, and experience with EMC testing |
||
| Description: | With the aim of improving the predictability of numerical simulations and their accuracy, this course focuses on the realistic management of emitting and/or receiving devices as used for EMC testing. Through PAM-CEM/FD (Finite-Difference Time-Domain) applications dealing with log-periodic and biconical antennas, all stages of the computational process are fully discussed: slant wires modeling, device characterization (Antenna Factor, Radiation Patterns, and input impedance), calibration and full modeling, etc. Special attention dedicated to the PAM-CEM/FD management of slant wires and wired loops when targeting Virtual Testing. |
