Nova
Nova is a standalone utility for modeling the response of layered poroelastic materials. The software implements both Transfer Matrix and Finite Transfer Matrix methods and is ideally suited for the quick calculation of the absorption, insertion loss and transmission loss of poroelastic materials. The software can be used as a standalone utility and can also be used to update noise control treatment properties in system level VA One models.
Benefits
- Quickly model the response of layered poroelastic materials
- Optimize layups for maximum absorption and insertion loss
- Copy results from Nova to the clipboard and paste into VA One to automatically define layups in system level VA One models
Features
- Full library of transfer matrices for fluid, elastic, visco-elastic, poro-elastic, plates, shells, sandwich, composite, resistive screen and perforated plate layers
- Full library of excitations including plane wave, diffuse field, point force, rain-on-the-roof, monopole and TBL
- Account for finite size effects using FTMM method
- Calulate absorption, Insertion Loss, Transmission loss, impedance, reflection coefficients, input power, transmissibility and many other quantities
