Hot Forming with PAM-STAMP 2G
Hot Forming is getting more and more important in the manufacturing industry in order to reach higher end strengths of the part. Adding the temperature component to the process makes it more difficult to handle – and to understand what happens inside the press.
PAM-STAMP 2G allows the user to take that look inside the press – and to help manage this complex manufacturing process. PAM-STAMP 2G provides all the functionalities for a very accurate simulation of hot forming processes, such as:
- Checking the hot forming feasibility, estimating the quenching and production cycle time, optimizing the initial blank shape
- Taking into account most of the thermal, mechanical and metallurgical phenomena
- Cooling channel design analysis through an automatic cyclic functionality
