With the V2007.0 Release, PAM-CEM Solutions are focusing on the FD/MTL coupling with four specialized packages based on two versions of the PAM-CEM/FD solver (Standard & Advanced) and two versions of the CRIPTE tool (Standard & Advanced). Those packages are including all tools necessary for pre & post-processing as well as mesh generation (2D and 3D).

Platforms

OS: Operating System
SMP: Shared Memory Processing, DMP: Distributed Memory Processing
FD: Finite Difference (solver), i.e. PAM-CEM/FD
MTL: Multiconductor Transmission Line (solver), i.e. CRIPTE
(*) MPI libraries required

Performances

The end of Year 2006 step ahead performed by ESI Group in the field of Computational Electromagnetics is the DMP porting of the 3D Finite Difference software product allowing PAM-CEM users to identify as fast as possible the best compromise among hundreds of industrial options. Using various MPI libraries (MPICH, LAM/MPI, HP-MPI), CPU performances of the FD core solver on AMD64 LINUX clusters were significantly enhanced with a special focus of compiling and running options, allowing to reach almost ideal scalability performances, i.e. 95% efficiency for eight CPUs whatever the model being considered (PAM-CEM/FD Speed-up on AMD64 cluster with HP-MPI library).
