Aerospace Applications
Aerospace companies face the challenge of improving flight and spacecraft. Virtual Prototyping based on the Finite Element Method plays an increasingly important role in the product development process. It improves quality management and shortens time-to-market.
PAM-CRASH 2G enables aerospace specialists to simulate impact and test temperature fluctuations and acceleration loads.

Simulation of a helicopter crash on water
DLR has selected PAM-CRASH 2G to speed product development and drive collaboration. In the certification process of an aircraft operating above water, PAM-CRASH 2G enabled DLR to take on the challenge of waves generation. Modeling of the waves was carried out in a reasonable computation time, effectively reducing delays. In addition to water impact simulation, PAM-CRASH 2G is also used in the field of high velocity impact.
