Heat Treatment Simulation Engineering:
Reference: SWD-H-B

Getting it Right
Level: Basic
Duration: 3 days
Audience: Designers and heat treatment practitioners
Objectives: Understand the art of modeling for heat treatment; set up, run and interpret the results of a heat treatment simulation using Sysweld, the leading simulation solution for heat treatment, welding and welding assembly.
Prerequisites: Required: engineering background with focus on heat treatment engineering and a strong understanding of practical heat treatment. Recommended: basic knowledge of the Finite Element method
Description: This course covers the art of modeling for heat treatment, with a focus on simplicity and productivity. Participants learn to simulate the effects of heat treatment, i.e. temperature evolution, phase transformations, hardness, distortion, and residual stresses, in order to optimize processes, minimize part distortions, and improve service behavior. Also focus on the improvement of processes and designs based on a deeper understanding of engineering. This course is for practitioners.
