  • VZLÚ optimizes the development of composites rotor blades using infusion simulation software PAM-RTM

“PAM-RTM helps improve the probability of problem free infusion process of the first produced part. It is very effective for rectifying imperfections of infusion discovered during the production process.”
Vilém Pompe, Head of R&D Composites Department, VZLÚ

"PAM-RTM was used during the EPICEA project (cofounded by DRIRE and the Midi-Pyrénées region) which grouped together Liebherr Aerospace Toulouse, JTT Composite and the Clément Ader Institute, in order to simulate the RTM injection of a gate body on tridimensional textile reinforcements. PAM-RTM simulation correctly estimated the entire mold filling and allowed us to ensure the good impregnation of the reinforcement."

“The PPE provided us with a RTM light simulation of a yacht inner liner. Using PAM-RTM was a very important experience for Azimut Yacht since it was the first time we were using simulation. It helped us improving our know-how about the process and mold construction. We are considering using simulation again on other technologies, like infusion for instance.”
