High Velocity Impact testing

High Velocity Impact (HVI) simulation is used to analyze the dynamic behavior of material under very high speed impacts. This typically finds applications in aerospace where understanding the damage suffered by spacecraft encountering space debris such as micrometeoroid is very important. This is also urgently required by the aircraft industry as impacts from bird strikes or foreign objects can be a serious jeopardy. Virtual Performance Solution includes PAM-SHOCK, a dedicated application for the analysis of HVI scenarios. It enables also the simultaneous use of explicit and implicit modules for advanced structural dynamics and impact simulations.

Virtual Seat Prototyping

A typical aircraft crew announcement sounds like this: “We will be looking for your comfort and safety onto our flight to …”. Seats in aircrafts play a key role regarding these comfort and safety performances. Virtual Performance Solution includes PAM-COMFORT, a dedicated application for the computation and analysis of posture (H-Point, back and buttock angles, spine curvature) and pressure distribution (back and buttock) in different scenarios (taking off, cruising, landing). Virtual Performance Solution includes also a dedicated application for the computation of regulations safety tests.
