Iterating on a Virtual Prototype empowers them to accelerate their certification process while lowering R&D costs and making less conservative design decisions.
Certify a new design at first try-out
In the Automotive sector, standard protocols like EuroNCAP, JapanNCAP and IIHS are captured in End-to-End virtual processes, making the virtual certification of each design iteration easier and affordable. Using Virtual Engineering, OEMs can pre-certify their virtual seat or virtual airbag prototype for instance, so that they get their physical prototype right the first time.

As for aeronautics, ESI customers can predict the Head Injury Criterion (HIC) and check very early in the seat design process that their seat complies with crash safety regulations such as FAR 25.562. Validated with the European Space Agency against experimental data for hypervelocity impacts, ESI’s solution for High Velocity Impact (HVI) enables certification by simulation.
