ESI Group announces the release of Version 2006 of CADalyzer
CFD-CADalyzer 2006, a coupled design and analysis tool eliminates pitfalls associated with translation between different geometries
Huntsville, AL, USA and Paris, France, February 3, 2006 – ESI Group (ESIN FR0004110310) is pleased to announce the release of the 2006 version of CFD-CADalyzer. CFD-CADalyzer is the perfect tool for both CAD engineers and CFD analysts to perform design level analysis with a simple and intuitive interface. CFD-CADalyzer, a complete package in itself with built-in pre and post-processor, enables the simulation of flow and heat transfer, and allows the comparison of results over a range of varying geometries and operational conditions.
In pre-processing, specifically mesh building, mesh quality is very important in setting up a complex geometry problem. Now with CFD-CADalyzer 2006 significantly better mesh quality is obtained through suppression of tiny features coupled with intelligent boundary layer meshing.
The integrated design environment provided by CADalyzer for the leading CAD packages such as SolidWorks, Pro/ENGINEER, Unigraphics, Inventor, Solid Edge, Mechanical Desktop, leads to faster time to market and improved product quality. CFD-CADalyzer 2006 improves ease of use by eliminating the pitfalls associated with translation between different geometry representations. CFD-CADalyzer V2006 gives comfort to the user reducing design time, and allowing the user to choose the same mouse behaviour and colour schemes as their favourite CAD packages.
“CADalyzer 2006 is an excellent analytical tool in our product development process. I am impressed with its seamless integration with native CAD packages like Solidworks, Inventor and Unigraphics. CADalyzer has a major impact on our preprocessing time as it gives a first order estimate in a matter of minutes. CADalyzer takes only about one-fourth of the time as the other preprocessors we have in our facility. CADalyzer quickly eliminates surprises and takes care of all the practical issues in geometry and meshing. CADalyzer is automated, easy to use analytical tool which is fairly well organized.” - Dr. Kedar Sangam, Member of Technical Staff, Applied Materials Inc.
In CFD-CADalyzer V2006, mathematical functions can be used as an input for boundary condition values in addition to the structural and deformation modeling capabilities of CDF-ACE+ which is available with an additional license. Now with CFD-CADalyzer 2006, users can visualize their post processing results quickly with the one-button click animation feature. Among the new features included in CFD-CADalyzer are strip chart and carpet plot and a larger memory capacity of 3 GB.

About ESI Group
ESI Group is a world-leading supplier, and a pioneer of digital simulation software for prototyping and manufacturing processes that take into account the physics of materials. ESI Group has developed an extensive suite of coherent, industry oriented applications to realistically simulate a product’s behaviour during testing, to fine-tune manufacturing processes in accordance with desired product performance, and evaluate the environment’s impact on product performance. ESI Group’s products, which have a proven track record in manufacturing and have been combined in multi-trade value chains, represent a unique collaborative and open virtual engineering solution known as the Virtual Try-Out Space (VTOS), enabling virtual prototypes to be improved in a continuous and collaborative manner. This integrated protocol allows all the company’s solutions to work with each other and with applications developed by independent software vendors. By significantly reducing costs and development lead times and enabling product/process synergies, VTOS solutions offer major competitive advantage by progressively eliminating the need for physical prototypes during product development. The company generated sales of circa €60m in 2004, employs almost 500 high-level specialists worldwide covering more than 30 countries. ESI Group is listed in Eurolist compartment C of Euronext Paris. For further information, visit www.esi-group.com.
