ESI Group is pleased to announce a CFD-ACE+ Plasma training workshop dedicated to 2D and 3D industrial plasma applications. This event will take place at ESI GmbH, Eschborn, Germany, on May 8 - 9, 2008.
Course Objective
At the end of this course, users will be able to use CFD-ACE+ and the Plasma module to setup and perform simulations of various plasma processes. Real-world plasma discharge processes will be addressed in such a way that is physically proper and numerically attractive. Attendees will also learn how to interpret the simulation results and extract valuable information needed for their R&D work.
Target Audience & Prerequisites
The CFD-Plasma course is intended for engineering analysts who wish to benefit from using numerical modeling tools for plasma applications. The trainee is expected to have a basic level understanding of plasma processes. Basic understanding of using CFD-ACE+ is preferable but not a must.
Level and Scope
This is a beginner/intermediate level course in CFD-Plasma. Fundamentals of plasma modeling issues will be presented in addition to hands-on tutorial exercises. It will be a combination of Power-Point presentations and hands-on tutorials. The tutorials will discuss Inductively Coupled and Capacitively Coupled Plasma modeling. In addition, time will be available to address trainee-specific project requirements and intended modeling efforts.
Fees and Registration
The CFD-Plasma training costs are as follows:
- € 2500 per person for attendees from commercial organizations
- € 500 for academic attendees
The fee includes all documentation, refreshments and lunches during both training days.
