Dear Fellow Engineer,

You will have already discovered through our literature all there is to know about EuroPAM 2008. We don't have to sell you the idea, you don't need to be convinced, and you certainly plan to join us. There now remains one little selling job, that is, you need to persuade your boss that your participation in this event is worthwhile and that the conference fees that your company is expected to pay are very moderate.

If your company has not yet started investigating these new Virtual Testing applications, make sure to point out the following:

• This type of software applications are not really a choice in the future strategy of your company, you will have to launch them sooner or later.
• You need to get a perfect understanding of what the "Virtual Try-Out Space" is and how to get the best out of it.
• When you will be on the verge of starting your applications you will have to be prepared for a smooth and well prepared launch.
• You will need to have a clear understanding of what you can ask from a Simulation Software in an engineering project.
• You will want to know where their largest benefits can be found.
• You will be smarter and better prepared for that move.
• You will be able to include in your plans preparation the experience that other companies have drawn from years of numerical simulation practices.
• Above all, tell Your Boss that, sooner or later, your company will have to live in the "Virtual Try-Out Space".

…and if you participate in EuroPAM 2008:

• You will be able to help your Company understand how to design better products
• You will contribute in reducing the lead-time of your engineering design cycles.
• You will see, earlier in the design cycle, if your product fits with its operating requirements or with its environmental constraints.
• You will reduce the number of physical prototypes that your Company has to produce year after year.
• This will result in dramatically cheaper and better products, much sooner on the market place.

Your company may already be using these new Simulation Technologies and, if you join us in Prague :

• You will meet with hundreds of other users.
• You will hear about other users experiences.
• You will find new ideas about how to better apply these technologies.

…Tell him that the participation costs are extremely reasonable, only a couple of hundred Euros.

…Tell him that the return on this investment is going to show up extremely quickly with a factor that you can count by the thousands.

…Tell him that, even though your time is so precious to your company, it is worth that break!

…and, finally, tell him that your are a good engineer but that these two days will turn you into an even better one, better informed and, consequently, better prepared for the challenges that your company will face in the future.
