Fred Haise recent

Fred W. Haise will deliver a presentation entitled 'Failure is not an option'. Portrayed by actor Bill Paxton in the blockbuster Ron Howard film, Apollo 13, Haise served as the lunar module pilot during the ill-fated 1970 space mission.  He retired as president of Northrop Grumman Technical Services (GTS), a wholly owned subsidiary company of The Northrop Grumman Corporation.


Franck Delplace

Dr Franck Delplace, physicist , Head of the Energy Savings Department at the French Electricity Board (EDF Group) and author of "Open door on 21 century physics" will explain the current challenges in the energy sector.


 


Mark Halpern newMark Halpern, P.E., Ph.D., Research Vice President at Gartner: Defining and Navigating a Realistic Simulation Roadmap

Industry Sessions will focus on:

  • Aerospace & Defense
  • Ground Transportation
  • Energy

Technlogy sessions will cover OpenFOAM applications, following the recent acquistion of OpenCFD Ltd. by ESI
