Numerical simulations have become an inherent part of industrial production and validation processes. The increasing complexity of the problems and the application of numerical simulation to new fields have shown also the limits of classical methods. In recent years, a new class of numerical methods has established in order to meet these requirements. Meshless methods have proven to be superior for example for highly dynamical problems and problems including large deformations or fluid structure interactions.
ESI is organizing a meshless methods seminar with the participation of renowned lecturers from France, Spain, the UK, the Netherlands and Germany.
Although the theoretical background of different meshless methods is reviewed, the course is widely oriented towards the application of meshless methods in industrial processes.
