SPH - FPM - NEM - DEM*

May 10 and 11, 2011; Paris, France

Who ?

ESI is organizing a meshless methods seminar with the participation of renowned lecturers from France, Spain, UK, The Netherlands and Germany.

For whom ?

This two day course held in English is designed for anybody dealing with simulation of events where the medium of interest suffers large local or global topology changes (eg. penetration / perforation, material mixing, gaseous expansions, very large deformations, fluid flow, etc.) These phenomena engulf most spans of science and engineering. A solid level of understanding in numerical technology is recommended.

What ?

The aim of this seminar is to provide advanced state of the art information on the fundamentals of four basic meshless simulation methods used today and their associated applications in the fields of science and engineering.

How ?

Discussions and computer demonstrations are organized in order to apply, practice and visualize the content of the lectures. Due to the limited number of participants, interactions between the participants and the lecturers will allow an optimum transfer of knowledge.

Finally, private or group discussions can take place during social hours and evening event in order to treat more specific problems which the participants may encounter.
