The successful candidate will devote his or her full time attention and abilities to business development activities (prospecting, selling, closing, etc.) for ESI manufacturing and composite software along with associated consulting services solutions within the “UK” market to achieve his or her individual sales targets and ESI’s overall business goals and objectives.

 

Specific Duties

The following duties will be carried out in support of helping ESI to achieve and maintain leadership in the relevant field through a focus on excellence in virtual and numerical modeling, computer science, sales and customer support.
•    Act as account manager, conducting business development activities for ESI and consulting services solutions, to prospects and customers by; identification of potential opportunities for software sales and consulting services contracts; pre-sales solutions presentations; preparation of proposals for consulting projects; conducting marketing seminars, participation in trade shows and conferences, and various other marketing activities.
•    Provide account management activities to achieve annual sales target for the related process and equipment industry.
•    Prepare software price quotations and consulting services cost proposals for presentation and negotiation with prospects and customers.
•    Report to sales and general management the status of market and business opportunities through timely forecasts and periodic business reports and strategic account plans.
•    Preparation of formal presentation of sales, marketing and technical  materials to prospects, customers, and strategic partners.
•    Advise the company’s marketing and product management staff of all opportunities for alternative or new technology products and services that may provide values to ESI customers and help achieve our business growth objectives.
•    Communicate customer-requested enhancements and bug reports to the software development group.


National and international travel may be required.


Personal Attributes required

•    An interest and aptitude in helping prospects and customers understand the benefits of ESI’s solutions for their problems.
•    Independence in performing assigned tasks, adhering to schedule and identifying necessary resources for task completion.
•    Ability to do what is necessary to convince prospects, customers of the value of ESI solutions.
•    Interest in acquiring new sales/marketing/strategic selling skills.


Qualifications & Experience Desired

•    Engineering degree with over 2 years commercial experience in manufacturing technology or composite design and manufacturing.
•    Knowledge of manufacturing simulation is heavily recommended, knowledge of composites design and manufacture would also be an advantage.
•    Sales experience is also desirable but training will be provided.
•    Experience in using business tools such as Microsoft Powerpoint, Excel and Word, and contact management software.
